Drake Maye looks at the defense before setting uo his next play

It was an easy win for the Mustangs Friday night as they handed the Knights a 48-7 loss during the second round of the playoffs. The battle was stout but brief and in the end Ardrey Kell didn’t have enough for Myers Park.

The video I presented with this article will help tell the story of the Mustangs reaching their twelfth win of the season. It features pictures of junior quarterback ,Drake Maye, senior strong safety Cameron Roseman-Sinclair, and senior cornerback Jordan Brown, leading the charge for the night.

Some of the photos highlight the fanatic atmosphere all over Myers Parks’ campus and football stadium. The pom poms given to the school by one of its many local sponsors.

There are even (quite) a few photos of Josh McCown–assistant coach at Myers Park and backup quarterback of the Philadelphia Eagles. I was quite a fangirl from the stands.

The photos are a complete depiction of the mild Friday night game that drew hundreds into both sides of the stands. A different culture than what was previously presented at Harding University High School and even West Charlotte High at certain football games.

A school all about their pride and the Mustang tradition that would not be denied.

That’s what the photos in this video exemplified: Myers Park High School putting another stamp on their team’s history. The first city championship for the school in quite some time according to Myers Park alum.
